I Design, Draw, Write, Teach and Talk
On Clubhouse, lol — No Ted talks yet
The Story
I graduated with a degree in Fashion Communication from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India. Fascinated by art, fashion and literature since forever, I had forayed into design by choice but stumbled into Product Design almost accidentally.
So imagine my delight when I ended up being Guest Faculty of Interaction Design 4th Year at NIFT, four years out of NIFT. Being a self-taught Product Designer, I'm big on contributing back to the community and training the workforce of the future; so I taught design enthusiasts and trained an army of interns. I also served as part of the external jury panel at NIFT since I love playing even a little part in helping someone become a better designer. Also because I love this almost revenge-turntable situation. Safe to say, design goes beyond just my job.
As a designer, I intend to simplify digital products via smart, intuitive design to unlock tremendous value for product makers & product users. And, become Rich & Famous in the process :p
The Values
First things first, will I even qualify as a UX Designer if I write a bio that doesn't say 'I enjoy solving complex problems'? Didn't think so. But to be honest, I love it AFTER the problem has been solved. Throughout the process, I can be found obsessing, pulling my hair out and most likely, riding a high on the strongest shots of coffee. But hey, no need to freak out, it’s handled :)
You can find me advocating the need to prioritise People over Technology, at work & in life. I'm a big people person like that.
What Next is always my go-to question. I always try to be better tomorrow than I was yesterday, as a professional & as a person.
Curiosity is pretty much my fuel for life. Show me something I don't know much about and rest assured that I'll be hunched in a corner finding out everything about it.
There's one rule I've followed in life. When I do something, I do it with utmost conviction and unrelenting passion, only if I strive to be the best; or I don’t do it at all. Who knows, one day I might actually become great. And even I don't, chances are I'll still be pretty extraordinary ✨
I'm an INFJ, which implies that I am genetically engineered to work with purpose and want to make the world a better place.
Product Design & teaching are both ways of doing that. Giving back to the design community, I’m proud and humbled at the same time. If I could be for my mentees, even a tenth of what my mentors were to me, I'd sleep in peace :)
The Person
A collection of things you don't need to know but I'll tell you anyway cause it's my website. And cause I'm not just a designer, I'm also a (interesting) human being
🧘🏻♀️
When I’m not making things pop, I pick up other things that calm my soul and stimulate my mind. Like writing, illustrating and Yoga.

Besides these obsessions with all things artistic, I do them cliched things like tricking myself into believing I can make my houseplant survive and hoarding cool stationery I'll never use cause it's too cute
📚
I love buying a million books and reading only four, along with bookmarking interesting articles on Medium for future reading. Currently on my nightstand is Well-Designed by Jon Kolko and The Psychology of Money. Next up, User Friendly by Cliff Kuang.
🖥️
I'm a Cultist for Grey's Anatomy. And a lover of David Rose. Also kinda known for binge-watching the same shows over and over. Eventually, when my conscience takes over, I swap Netflix for Masterclass. My top reccos there would be
-
Writing For Television by Shona Rhimes
-
Art of Negotiation by Chris Voss
-
Interior Design by Kelly Wearstler
☕
Coffee is the pick-me-up that perks me up and keeps me sane. Feel free to gift me exotic coffees on every occasion :p
🍷
And for my birthday, it would be a good idea to come to the party with a bottle of Bordeaux :D
And that's all.
Hit me up for all things design or content.
Thanks for stopping by ✨
